Facilities

Panteion University is located in Kallithea, near the center of Athens, on Syggrou Avenue. Its privately owned facilities include three buildings constructed at different times and, together with the beautiful garden, form a small campus. The oldest is the administration building, which houses the rectorate, administrative services, the library, the departmental secretariats and the ceremonial hall where students are sworn in and other official events are held. The second oldest building is the so-called "glass" building or Stasinopoulos wing, which houses classrooms, laboratories and professors' offices, mainly of the departments of Public Administration and International, European and Regional Studies. The most recent building, called the "new building" or simply the "seven-story building", houses the offices of professors from all Panteion departments, classrooms, laboratories and large amphitheaters where classes and conferences are held. The University rents a building at 29 Aristotelous Street, where the offices of the teachers of the Department of Economic and Regional Development are located. Next to Panteion, on Syggrou, are the Social Policy Laboratory (KEKMOKOP) and the Institute of Regional Development (in its own space). The Panteion Gymnasium operates in the space of the old Oasis Cinema in Neos Kosmos, right next to the metro stop of the same name. Off-campus are the neoclassical Hill building in Plaka, which houses the Institute of International Relations and the laboratory of the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, as well as the renovated apartment in Gyzi, which serves the teaching needs of the Department of Psychology. Due to the start of renovation works on the student residence building on Lagoumitzi Street, the student restaurant is temporarily housed at 100 Faliro Street in Koukaki.
