Research Programs
Panteion University, as the only single-subject University of Social and Political Sciences in our country, places particular emphasis on the development of interdisciplinarity, innovation and critical thinking for the investigation of social and political institutions, as well as social phenomena and problems in the Greek, European and international environment. Schematically, the research activity developed by the members of the academic community of Panteion can be divided into two major categories. First, in theoretical research aimed at developing new knowledge in Social and Political Theory. Second, in applied research that seeks to understand current social issues and develop effective and sustainable ways of resolving them.
During the academic year 2020, Panteion has a total of one hundred and thirty-one (131) active projects, of which twenty-eight (28) are European, twenty-four (24) are ELIDEK projects, eleven (11) are NSRF projects, six (6) are ERASMUS, KEDIVIM and ELKE projects respectively and the remaining fifty (50) are private projects. As mentioned, the entire research activity is strongly characterized by interdisciplinarity and innovation in various areas of social and political sciences.
