Undergraduate Studies
The first cycle of studies consists of following an Undergraduate Study Program (PPS) and is completed with the award of a degree (bachelor's degree). There are nine (9) PPS operating at Panteion, as many as the Departments of the Institution. All study programs at Panteion are organized based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), so that all independent educational components and the activities that compose them (lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, assignments, internships, degree or diploma thesis, etc.) can be described by assigning an ECTS number. One credit unit corresponds to 25-30 hours of work by the student.
Each Undergraduate Program is assigned a weighting of 30 ECTS in each semester, while the total ECTS for obtaining the degree is set at a minimum of 240 for a duration of eight (8) semesters. Students register for each semester by electronically declaring the courses they choose, on the dates specified in the Academic Calendar.
Each year, the Department's Undergraduate Study Guide, or simply Study Guide, is compiled for the following academic year, in Greek and English, and is posted on the Department's website. The Study Guide includes the course titles with their code, the full name and title of the instructor, credit points, course description and analysis of learning outcomes.
All active undergraduate students of the Institution are entitled to select and purchase a free number of textbooks equal to the total number of mandatory and elective courses required to obtain the degree and in each case one (1) textbook per course, through the EVDOXOS information system.
Knowledge of English, French or German is mandatory for obtaining a degree in all Departments. Students who were admitted before the academic year 2019-2020 and hold a recognized title in English, French or German, at least level B2, have the opportunity to request equivalence and be exempted from the obligation to teach and examine in a foreign language. From the academic year 2019-2020, those admitted are exempted from the obligation to teach a foreign language, only if they hold a title of learning English at level C1.
