Special Research Funds Account
The “Special Research Funds Account (SRFA)” of Panteion University was established in accordance with Joint Ministerial Decree 679/1996 and Law 4009/2011. The main purpose of the SRFA Panteion is to manage funds originating from any source and intended for the implementation of research programs, educational and development projects and the preparation of studies, in accordance with the rules of the funding body, the Funding Guide of Panteion University and the existing institutional framework.
The ELKE consists of elected representatives of all the Schools of Panteion University and is chaired by the Vice-Rector for Economic Planning and Development. The term of office of the members of the Research Committee is three years. The administrative and management bodies of the ELKE are the Research Committee and the Secretariat of the ELKE. The Research Committee of the Panteion University of Patras consists of representatives of all its Schools, elected for a three-year term, and is chaired by the respective Deputy Rector for Research.
The responsibilities of the ELKE Secretariat focus on monitoring the accounting and administrative activities of ELKE, providing secretarial support to the Research Committee and making recommendations on issues related to the Committee's responsibilities. At the same time, it has a key role in studying and processing the guidelines prescribed by the Committee, or submitting proposals for new guidelines to the Committee and ensuring the implementation of the Committee's decisions. It also pays the costs of each research project, provided that the cost is provided for in the approved project budget and supports the Scientific Managers in the management of research projects.
