Erasmus+

ERASMUS+ is the European Commission's programme for education, training, youth and sport, which aims to enhance skills and employability as well as to modernise education, training and youth systems, in all areas of Lifelong Learning (Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training, Adult Education, School Education, youth activities).

Students can use the Erasmus+ Program to:

  • a period of study abroad at a partner Higher Education Institution

  • internship (work placement) abroad in a company or other related workplace.

The study period abroad may also include an internship.

Students Collaborating Outdoors

To ensure high-quality mobility with maximum impact on students, mobility should respond to the learning and personal development needs of students linked to the degree in question. The study period abroad should be part of the student's study programme leading to a first-cycle (undergraduate or equivalent), second-cycle (master or equivalent) and third-cycle or doctoral degree.

Support is also provided for internships abroad during the first, second and third cycles of studies and within one year at the latest after the student's graduation. The concept of internship also includes working as an assistant in the case of studies in the field of teaching.

If possible, the internship should be integrated into the student's curriculum. Student mobility can concern any thematic unit/academic discipline.

Panteion has 321 bilateral agreements with EU countries and 56 bilateral agreements with non-EU countries. International mobility with countries outside Europe is considered quite important if we take into account the duration and specificity of the Program. Obviously, mobility in European countries follows a very interesting course with a continuous increase in agreements and mobility. In the years 2016-2020, a total of 780 Panteion students moved to universities within and outside Europe, while 701 students from European and international universities came to Panteion.

In the last academic year (2019-2020), a total of 316 students moved from Panteion for studies and internships. It is worth noting the constantly increasing number of students moving abroad to implement an internship through the Erasmus + Placement Program.
