WHAT IS AND WHAT DOES A LAWYER DO?
Panteion University has established an independent "STUDENT OMBUDSMAN'S OFFICE", in accordance with the provisions of article 55 of Law 4009/2011 as in force, with the Organization of the Institution and other applicable provisions. The purpose of the Student Ombudsman is:
mediation between students and professors or administrative services of the Institution
upholding legality within the framework of academic freedom
addressing maladministration and
the preservation of the smooth operation of the Foundation

According to article 55 of Law 4009/2011:
The Student Ombudsman investigates cases, ex officio or following a student report, and mediates with the competent bodies of the institution for their resolution. He/she may request from the services of the institution any information, document or other evidence regarding the case, examine persons, conduct an autopsy and order an expert opinion. If he/she determines that in a specific case legality is not being respected, that there are signs of maladministration or that the proper functioning of the institution is being disrupted, he/she draws up a report which he/she notifies to the professor concerned or to the competent administrative department and to the student who submitted the report, and mediates in every appropriate way for the resolution of the problem.
The Student Ombudsman may, by his own action, file a report that is deemed manifestly vague, unfounded or unsupported, while in the event that he deems that there are indications of the commission of a disciplinary offense, he forwards the case to the competent disciplinary body.
The findings of the student advocate, as well as a report with his annual activities, are published on the institution's website, without prejudice to the provisions of Law 2472/1997 (A` 50), as in force.
The Student Ombudsman investigates cases ex officio and may request from the institution's services any information, documents or other evidence regarding the case, examine persons, conduct an autopsy and order an expert opinion.
The malicious submission of a complaint that does not correspond to reality and takes place with the sole purpose of damaging the honor and reputation of a teacher is subject to disciplinary punishment.
The Student Ombudsman has no authority over examination and grading issues.
