Visit of the Southwest University of China Representation at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences

On November 18, 2025, a six-member delegation from the Southwest University of China, headed by the President, Professor Wang Jinjun, the Secretary General of the Center for Hellenic and Chinese Civilizations ( https://c. Wang Yong, the Director of the Department of Social Sciences, Dr. Luo Chaoping, the Director of the Institute of Science and Technology Development, Dr. Hu Changhua, the Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Repl. Professor Chen Bingjun, and the Program Coordinator of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Mr. Lei Ye, visited the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.


The representatives met with Rector, Professor Christina Koulouri, the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and International Relations, Professor Maria Meng-Papantoni, the Dean of the School of International Studies, Communication and Culture, Professor. Marilena Koppa, Head of the Office of International Relations and the European Union, Dr. Eleni Vassiliou and the responsible partner for the international mobility of the office, Dr. Effie Druva.


Following the presentations of the two Universities by their respective Rectors, the discussion focused on identifying scientific, educational and research areas of mutual interest, as well as exploring opportunities for student mobility and academic exchanges. Both sides expressed strong interest in developing collaborative initiatives, including joint research activities, visits by faculty members, summer schools and co-organization of conferences and workshops. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening the cooperation that promotes Greek and Asian culture and culture in general, enhancing intercultural understanding and academic dialogue between the two regions.


After extensive and constructive consultations, it was mutually agreed that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding will mark the beginning of a dynamic and mutually beneficial cooperation. The agreement will use as a framework for the promotion of joint projects, cultural and academic exchanges, and to deepen the long-term links between the two Institutions.
