DEDUCTION OF DOCTORAL THESIS IN CULTURAL STUDIES

UNIVERSITY OF COMMUNICATION, MESSONS AND CULTURE

The scientific field of Scholarship is defined as Cultural Studies with emphasis on issues related to modern and modern Greece. The duration of the Scholarship is up to three years.

CONDITIONS FOR THE SUBMISSION OF CANDIDACY

A. Applicants must hold a degree (minimum degree: eight) and postgraduate degree (postgraduate degree: Excellent) from universities in Greece or abroad, recognized equivalence in Greece, in subjects corresponding to the study programs of the following Schools and departments:

Faculty of Philosophy (Departments of History and Archaeology, Departments of Philology, Departments of Philosophy, Pedagogy, Psychology), Departments of Media, Communication and Culture, Departments of Sociology, Departments of Social Anthropology, Departments of Political Sciences, Departments of Cultural Management, Departments of Architecture.

B. Candidates should either already be registered as PhD candidates in the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University, or (and if they receive the scholarship) be admitted by the General Assembly of the same department, as doctoral candidates, according to the General Assembly. Finally, they may already be registered (or in the process of enrollment) in departments of universities abroad - in this case and if they receive the scholarship, the doctoral research will be carried out in a co-supervision regime.

C. Foreign languages: knowledge of two foreign languages (at C1 and C2)

SUBMISSION OF CANDIDACIES

1. 1. The dossier's file includes: a. Copy of degree and postgraduate degree b. Copy of foreign language degrees c. CV d. Research Proposal with indicative bibliography (up to 2000 words) e. Diploma Thesis (Master) and any publications in scientific journals.

2. 2. The candidates' files that do not meet the above conditions will not be considered.

The nominations file (except for diplomatic and publications) are submitted or sent to the Secretariat of the Department of Media, Communication and Culture AND TAUT AT THE SAME TIME shall be sent electronically to the academic director for the scholarship Ms. Chrysathis Avlami: chrysavlami@gmail.com and avlami@panteion.gr

4. 4. Deadline for submission of candidacy : 30 January 2026

EVALUATION

The evaluation committee consists of two (2) faculty members of the E.M.O. department and three (3) external members.

The evaluation committee judges the nominations (after studying the candidates' files and inviting them to an oral online interview). In the event that the number of nominations is large, the evaluation committee is entitled to proceed with short-listing interviews. For the three-year period 2026-2029 will be given a scholarship, amounting to 400 € / month
